Grape rather than blackcurrant — that's the short version of what separates Mauve Wave from the wave flavours in the Central-Asian cartons. It's the European take on the berry capsule: grape-forward, a little drier than its siblings, and cooled with a softer, rounder menthol than the sharp stuff. Strength 3, cooling 4, and it exists in this edition and almost nowhere else on our shelves. European tuning shows up as restraint rather than as a different fruit altogether: less sugar in the body, a menthol that rounds off instead of biting, and a finish that fades out rather than snapping shut. It's a quieter stick than the name suggests.

Set against Purple Wave in the same carton, the split is sugar. Purple Wave leads with a blackcurrant burst that peaks early; Mauve Wave keeps the fruit restrained and lets the cool carry the session. Against Sun Pearl it's berry instead of citrus, and less bright with it. Against Blue and Turquoise it's the only one of the four with real fruit in it at all.

Which one belongs in your box

The four cool sticks in this edition do different jobs. Turquoise is the ice option at cooling 5. Blue is straight menthol with nothing laid over it. Sun Pearl is a citrus capsule you crush before the session. Mauve Wave is the middle-ground berry — the one to order if Purple Wave reads too sweet, or if you're buying the Italy carton for Russet and Teak and want one cool flavour in the same box. If you're building a single box to cover a household, Mauve Wave and Blue between them handle most preferences without anyone reaching for the other person's pack.
