Russet is a European reading of a full tobacco stick: the roast is there, but a dried-fruit and warm-spice layer sits over it, closer to pipe tobacco than to a cigarette. It is rounder than Sienna and more interesting than Amber, with a long, slightly sweet finish.

TEREA Russet Italy: what the AED 169 carton really costs

AED 169 sounds steep until you divide it by 200. That's about 85 fils a stick, or a shade under AED 17 for each of the 10 packs in the box — and there's no per-pack option, because sticks ship by the full carton only. Set against what a pack of cigarettes costs in the UAE, the arithmetic stops being much of an argument.

Russet is where that maths is easiest to justify, because it doesn't exist in the Central-Asian cartons at all.
